Glasgow hosts Scotland’s first Mindful Drinking Festival

Want to find out more about what is trending in the growing alcohol-free market? Then pop along to Scotland’s first Mindful Drinking Festival at The Briggait, Glasgow this month.

Club Soda, the mindful drinking movement, has teamed up with SLTA members Liquid Academy and Heineken to host this well-respected alcohol-free drinks event in Glasgow.

Events on offer include the chance to show your beer pouring skills under the watchful eye of Heineken’s Global Master Brewer Willem van Waesberghe.

Meanwhile, Liquid Academy is running a Mixologist Grand Slam – so if you have a great alcohol-free cocktail and want to compete, please email carey@liquid-academy.co.uk.

The festival comes as figures published recently by Nielsen, the market research company, show that more than 43 million pints of non-alcoholic beer were drunk – up 27% on the previous 12 months.

There will also be a chance to try alcohol-free beers, wines, cocktails, spirits and sodas aimed at adults as well as taste a wide range of Scottish alcohol-free brands, including the launch of Scotland’s first alcohol-free gin, Chastity.

The Mindful Drinking Festival is at The Briggait, 141 Bridgegate, Glasgow G1 5HZ on

Saturday, October 13 from 12 noon-6pm. mindfuldrinkingfestival.com
