Scottish Personal Licence Holder Qualification Consultation

Scottish Personal Licence Holder Qualification Consultation

People 1st has been contracted by the Scottish Government to conduct an independent review and revision of the current Scottish Personal Licence Holder and Refresher Qualifications over the next six months.

The SLTA has been working on this as part of the steering group which is now conducting a consultation to help inform the first stage of this review to ensure the National Standards on which these qualifications are based is up to date, fit for purpose, reflects legislative changes and meets the current and future needs of industry.

Colin Wilkinson, SLTA managing director, said: “Through desk research and review with Industry Steering Group partners the group has identified relevant changes in legislation, changes to working practices and terminology which affect the current training, together with those areas where no change is necessary in order for the Personal Licence Holder to understand their legal and social responsibilities.”

The consultation is aimed at those people and organisations within the wider sector with the technical knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities of Personal Licence Holders including licensing lawyers and administrators, local authorities, enforcement authorities, training providers/organisations, independent trainers, awarding bodies, industry employers and stakeholders, trade bodies and associations, and charities to gain as wide a range of views as possible.

Your input is vital to ensuring the revised qualifications meet your needs and add value to both the individual and business.

To provide your views please follow the link to the consultation below which closes on Friday, December 14, 2018.
