Annual General Meeting 2017 and Scottish Tourism Week 2017

The Scottish Licensed Trade Association’s 137th Annual General meeting will take place on Wednesday 15th March, 2017 in the Malmaison Hotel, 278 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 4LL, during the Scottish Tourism Week Event running from the 15th – 23rd March 2017.

Scottish Tourism week incorporates the Scottish Tourism Alliance Signature Conference which this year is entitled “Tourism: The Future – Beyond 2020’.   The conference is all about looking ahead at everything in the political, economic, consumer and environmental worlds that will impact and affect Scotland’s global competitiveness and perception as a destination of choice.

Once again, the Scottish Thistle Awards will add a glittering celebratory element to Scottish Tourism Week, taking place this year on Thursday 16th March at the EICC, in Edinburgh.

The STW 2017 Parliamentary Reception, co-sponsored by The Caravan Club and VisitScotland, will be held at the Scottish Parliament on 22nd March, and the final Scottish Tourism Week Signature event will see the Scotland Food & Drink AGM and Conference take place at the Doubletree Hilton in Glasgow.

ScotHot is Scotland’s biggest food, drink, hospitality and tourism trade show. Over the two days, key buyers and decision makers from top hospitality and catering establishments network with a wide variety of suppliers from all areas of the hospitality, tourism and catering industries.   Events for 2017 include The Scottish Culinary Championships, in association with the Federation of Chefs Scotland; The Spotlight Stage, a multi-purpose arena with live demonstrations, presentations, talks and debates as successful hoteliers, restaurateurs and industry experts share their experience, give advice and offer practical tips; the New Products Awards celebrating the best in Scottish product innovation;  the Buell Business Advice Centre offering free specialist business advice; the Liquid Academy Live Theatre will be curated and hosted by the Liquid Academy and will feature a number of incredible speakers and drinks related sessions, all designed to inspire the audience to embrace the latest in global drinks innovations and the ‘CESA Zone’ showcasing the latest developments in Catering Equipment in Scotland.
