Pubwatch Scheme Relaunches In East Kilbride

Pubwatch scheme relaunches in East Kilbride

PUBS in East Kilbride are joining forces with police to relaunch Pubwatch – the scheme which aims to make the town, cities and communities a safer place to socialise.

Twelve licensed premises have signed up to the community-based crime prevention scheme in an effort to reduce alcohol-fuelled violence and disorder at the town’s nightspots.

They are: Barocca, Crooked Lum, Downtown, The Exchange, Bruce Hotel, Skye Bar, The Haystook, Hudsons, Montgomerie Arms, Westwood Bar, Oystercatcher and the Union.

As reported in the East Kilbride News, the scheme involves licensees working alongside police to ensure a safe environment for pub-goers and identifying those who cause trouble in bars and pubs.
