Coca-Cola is re-entering the world of top-tier football with the announcement of a new three-year partnership with the Premier League, launching for the 2025/26 season. The agreement will see Coca-Cola become the Official Soft Drink Partner of the Premier League, reinforcing the brand’s long-standing association with football and creating new opportunities for trade engagement and consumer excitement.
The partnership will span across Coca-Cola’s broad portfolio, including Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Powerade, and Smartwater. It promises to deliver high-profile fan activations, ticket promotions, and exclusive matchday experiences such as centre-circle appearances, alongside visibility at the Premier League Summer Series.
From a trade perspective, the collaboration is expected to generate significant retail activity, with a nationwide on-pack promotion rolling out across the UK and Ireland as the new season approaches.
We are thrilled to be partnering with the Premier League, the most competitive and compelling football league in the world. Football and the Premier League are global passion points, and we look forward to uplifting fans and making their experience even better by bringing them closer to the action.”
Javier Meza, President of Marketing, Europe, Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola’s brand purpose is about bringing people together, and that’s exactly what happens on match days. This partnership is a brilliant opportunity to connect with fans through the drinks they know and love – and we know it will drive sales for retailers. With the Premier League’s incredible reach and our portfolio of much-loved brands, we’re well-placed to drive meaningful impact for our customers while creating memorable moments for consumers.”
Rob Yeomans, Vice-President, Commercial Development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB
We are delighted to welcome back Coca-Cola as the Official Soft Drink Partner of the Premier League. Coca-Cola is loved and enjoyed by millions around the world, much like the Premier League, and brings years of experience in top level sport sponsorship and fan engagement.”
Will Brass, Chief Commercial Officer at the Premier League
This announcement marks Coca-Cola’s return to the Premier League following its original partnership between the 2018/19 season and 2021. The new deal is expected to benefit hospitality venues, licensed retailers, and on-trade operators by driving footfall, increasing basket spend, and offering engaging promotions throughout the football season.
The SLTA will continue to follow how this partnership rolls out and what support may become available for Scottish licensees.
