SLTA joins forces with Xpressjobs to tackle staff shortages in the licensed trade

The Scottish Licensed Trade Association has joined forces with a UK recruitment firm to help tackle current staff shortages in the hospitality and tourism sectors north of the border.

The SLTA has formed a partnership with tourism and hospitality recruitment specialist Xpressjobs to provide its members with a new service that allows businesses to promote job vacancies free of charge on its website, Xpressjobs.co.uk.

Colin Wilkinson, SLTA managing director, said that the Scottish licensed trade had been “hit with a chronic shortage of staff” following Brexit and the Covid pandemic. “Recruiting staff is consistently one of the top three challenges highlighted by those operating in the hospitality sector,” he said.

“This partnership with renowned hospitality recruitment specialists Xpressjobs will offer our members a package of options giving them that extra support, guidance and professionalism to achieve the best results for their recruitment needs. Being that ‘one step ahead of the rest’ is imperative to attract the right person for staff vacancies.”
