Tourism And Hospitality Talent Development Programme

Tourism and Hospitality Talent Development Programme

Hit Scotland have announced that a revised version of this programme is returning in 2022, helping the Tourism and Hospitality sector’s continued recovery by allowing more people the opportunity to improve their people management skills to better lead their businesses and teams.

This virtual Leadership, Management and Supervisory training programme has been designed to motivate and develop top talent in order that the industry can recover faster from the significant impact that the Covid-19 pandemic has had across the Tourism and Hospitality sectors in Scotland.  The issues with recruitment and retention are significantly adding to the mix. The key challenges that we are facing as an industry can only be adequately dealt with by having in place strong leadership and management across all areas of our Industry. This programme will give the future leaders of our industry the skills, knowledge and networks to make an impact.

This programme is funded by the Scottish Government’s National Transition Training Fund, and is being administered by HIT Scotland.

There will be 1500 places available for this programme, with 60 groups of 25 people able to take part in one of the categories – Supervisory, Management, Leadership. The number of groups for each level will depend on demand.

This is a fully-funded scholarship programme aimed at Supervisors, Managers and Leaders and there is more guidance for nominations and applications available at hitscotland.co.uk/talent-development-programme
