Glasgow’s biggest cocktail festival has partnered with World Class to create a must-see “Cocktail World” experience during this year’s Glasgow Cocktail Weekend (September 26-29).
The new partnership aims to raise the quality of consumer experiences and elevate cocktails to the highest level with a series of “unforgettable events”.
World Class has been instrumental in transforming fine drinking and cocktail culture around the world and this year, in a first for Glasgow, people can experience fine spirts and delicious drinks created by the best bartending talent in Glasgow.
It has supported, trained and inspired over 300,000 bartenders across the globe over the past 10 years, while partnering them with the Diageo Reserve collection. Diageo is an SLTA industry partner.
Organiser Nicola Moir said: “The mission of World Class is to discover the ultimate drinks experience, and we are very proud and excited to partner with them and their incredible portfolio of brands to bring our vision for Glasgow Cocktail Weekend to life.
“We’ll once again be engaging with the city’s best bartending talent to showcase over 100 signature £5 drinks, available in all your favourite bars, with some very cool, exclusive events that are only available for our guests.”
Cocktail World, set in the hidden depths of the Argyle Street Arches, will offer 10 free World Class cocktail samples created by some of the world’s leading bartenders and luxury brands. This limited experience includes a plush Tanqueray No. Ten gin bar, the colourful Kettle One Botanical Kitchen, and the ultimate Johnnie Walker experience.
Entry to Cocktail World is exclusively for Glasgow Cocktail Weekend all-access ticket holders and includes 10 free cocktails, tasting activations and masterclasses. Adding to the experience there will be wood-fired pizza on offer from Platform, live entertainment and a luxurious Cocktail Lounge for the perfect day out.
Official venues include the exotic basement oasis of Tiki on Bath Street, dive bar The Dam in Merchant City, the sophisticated surroundings of So.LA and Finnieston favourite Rioja.
