SLTA forms new partnership with Miller Samuel Hill Brown

Leading legal firm Miller Samuel Hill Brown has become the Scottish Licensed Trade Association’s official legal adviser after forming a new partnership with the trade body.

The SLTA has a longstanding relationship with Hill Brown, the firm’s high-profile licensing division which is headed by partner Audrey Junner.

Audrey writes a regular Q&A column for the SLTA, covering a wide range of licensing matters affecting members. A Law Society of Scotland-accredited specialist in liquor licensing law, she sits on the Scottish Government steering group responsible for developing the new Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holder training.

However, under the new SLTA-MSHB arrangement, members can contact the firm with queries on any legal issue. “We’re an all-service firm and are happy to take calls from SLTA members on any matter including employment, property, family law and litigation,” said Audrey.

“The enquiry line is provided free of charge with an appropriate fee imposed thereafter, depending on the issue and time required.

“Whether you are buying your first home, selling a business or facing redundancy our expert solicitors are on hand to help.”

SLTA managing director Colin Wilkinson said: “This is a very important service for SLTA members and we are delighted to further strengthen a very successful and long-established partnership with Hill Brown under the wider MSHB umbrella.”
